Audience Feedback
Throughout the process I would show my audience the music video, poster and Digipack at various stages of the process. A lot of this feedback I later took on board to make the promo and some of the other materials.
FIrst, I showed a group within my auduience age of 18-24 some of the influences for I was hoping to use for the promo. After showing some music videos I initially felt inspired by, I asked them all 2 question:
1. Which idea do you like best?
2. What could I do to improve and develop this idea?

While the auduience did like both ideas especially that idea to use animation, there seemed to be a consesus that it would be too hard to do. Taking this on board, I decided that while it would be too hard to
animate a music video, I could still be influenced by some of the elements of the music video.
Later in the process, I noticed that the lyrics had a theme of repetition in relationships in them, I used Carly Paradis' elements of repeating in a loop or circle through the use of After Effects.
Second audience feedback
This audience feedback was conducted to find how my focus group responded to the rough draft of my music video. I had questions on a sheet which I asked each member of the group once they had finished wathcing the video.
The questions where:
1. Do you think it successfully represents the genre, why?
2. What improvements can be made?
3. What do you like about the video?
4. What do you not like about the video?
Hannah:
1. Yes, it did represent the genre, maybe not much in the beginning, but it gradually progresses into more of a psychedelic music video
2. Fast cuts sometimes gave me a bit of a headache
3. Suits the song very well, really warm, 60's vibe
4. Setting was a bit of a distraction
Raphael:
1. Yes, quite folky, no excessive amount effects
2. Setting not good, distractions in background distract you from the music video
3. Good use of actors. good chemistry bewteen band members
4. Setting
Jordan:
1. Yes, because of the psychedelic effects used
2. More variety in shots
3. The song choice very really well represents the psychedelic genre
4. Shots, background is a distraction
Rufus:
1. No, I feel there was actually a lack of effects
2. Needs to be more psychedelic, more effects
3. The video is in time and in sync, like the effects that you did use
4. Setting is a distraction, more variety in shots, I feel it may need a reshoot
From this feedback from my focus group I concluded that I needed to change the setting of my music video somehow, originally I proposed to use software to distort the background. However, I decided that due to the other problems expressed such as lack of variety of shots I decided to reshoot the video but instead I would change the background by covering it with a large piece of black fabric. I hoped that this would make sure the audience where not so distracted by the background.
Third audience feedback
This feedback was in response to two questions; What do you like? What could be improved?

The audience where given post-it notes to put on the poster and digipack. Green for what they liked and orange for what could be improved.
I also handed out paper so that they could write a response to the draft of the music video that I presented.
